Lyn Austen

Lyn has worked in corporate finance for most of his life, originally starting as a broker before moving into mainstream M&A with a major public company where he led a number of high profile UK transactions.  He holds a degree in Business Studies and enjoys a particular interest in corporate work within the B2B and support services sectors.  Lyn joined Oasis in 2006 and is based in Reading.

Richard Baker

Richard, a Chartered Engineer, has worked in industry since leaving business school in 1969. He has held the positions of Chairman, CEO or executive board member of a number of public and privately owned businesses gaining extensive UK and international experience. He has extended his industry experience assisting growing businesses with finance raising and practical advice in a  wide range of markets including metals, public works construction, computer learning, book wholesaling, military textiles, service centre, electronics and dairy equipment. Living in South Devon, he is based at our Falmouth office.

James Bell

James previously worked for Goldman Sachs, initially facilitating the trading of listed equity options across Europe, later moving to a role within Securities Lending. He holds a BA (Hons) in Politics and History from University of London and completed his MBA, with a specialisation in finance, at ESADE Business School, Barcelona. In addition he is a member of the Securities and Investment Institute (MSI). James joined Oasis Europe in 2005.

Nicholas Bunn

Nick began his career as an analyst at a stockbroker within an investment bank in 1986, becoming a Member (now Fellow) of The Securities Institute in 1989. Between 1990 and 1999 he worked in the international debt capital markets, trading and issuing bonds. He then successfully completed an MBA specialising in Finance at CASS Business School in London before joining Oasis Europe in 2001. Nick has extensive experience of M&A work.

Richard Giles

Stewart Kennedy

Stewart Kennedy has recently rejoined Oasis Europe having held senior corporate finance positions with Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Wells Fargo and BNP Paribas Fortis where he was in charge of new business development for the Thames Valley. Latterly, Stewart worked with China Construction Bank where he advised Geeley in their acquisition of Volvo Cars from Ford Motor Company.

Stewart holds a degree in Business Administration from Aston University Management Centre and a postgraduate research degree in International Relations from Oxford University.

Harry Kinloch

Harry has a strong academic and business background both in Europe and the United States having held senior management positions in the engineering and financial services sectors. His experience ranges from working for government as Group Managing Director of a nationalised industry to that of chairman of a UK/US financial services corporation. For the past ten years he has specialised in interim management or turnaround roles in a variety of sectors, extending his experience to include retail distribution, consumer goods and biotechnology. He joined Oasis Europe in 1999.

Gareth Mason

Gareth joined Oasis Europe in September 2006. He gained an honours degree from Cardiff University in chemistry and between graduating and joining Oasis he was a professional rugby player in Wales with Swansea and then with Worcester in England. Since joining Oasis Gareth has carried out research in construction, recruitment, education and travel, he is currently involved in transactions in those sectors.

Catherine O’Riordan

Catherine has a Business Studies degree and experience in the telecoms, media and business services sectors, joining Oasis Europe in 1999. She is responsible for marketing, developing database records and carrying out sector research.

John Willcox-Jones

John has worked in industry since 1972 holding management positions in sectors as diverse as building products, retail furnishing and horticultural machinery. During the early 1980s he was actively involved in the City advising companies on behalf of a number of stockbrokers and issuing houses in connection with stock market flotations and on the board of a number of public companies. He relinquished these appointments in 1984 to specialise in mergers and acquisitions work. He regularly lectures on Corporate Finance matters throughout the UK as well as in Europe and North America.
