Our track record stretches back 24 years, having completed over 450 company sales and purchases, typically in the business value range of £2m to £50m. Our 3 most recently completed transactions in 2008 reflect the breadth of our experience, being in fire protection, industrial products distribution and building services.  The sectors that we do not operate in are biotechnology, software start-ups and gaming.

The recent changes in capital gains tax have not reduced the number of owners seeking to dispose of their businesses.  While we have seen a reduction in the interest of the private equity community due to the increased difficulty in raising substantial loans to finance transactions, we are seeing more trade buyers in the market than we have experienced for the last 2-3 years.
